Not from lack of Inspiration

One thing I absolutely love about writing is the never ending inspiration that exists. So many people say they don't know what to write about, and that is what they consider writer's block.

Nope. Sorry, not buying that. I've found that my writer's block comes not from lack of inspiration of what to write about, but the actual piecing together and fleshing out of the ideas.

Inspiration simply should not - and to me, cannot - be a problem for writers. I've been writing stories, poems, and whatever my heart desires since second grade, and I can't say inspiration has been lacking. I've discovered entire writing pieces from a fourth-grade spelling word, an intriguing house, paper dolls, misty mornings, hikes in the woods, and even my far-fetched and bizarre dreams.

I admit it's harder to find ideas and inspiration in boring, everyday life situations, but even the slightest abnormality or interesting occurrence can spark something spectacular. When you go on vacation, immerse yourself in wherever you are, taking lots of notes and pictures. If you do that well enough, several pieces of writing can come from one lengthy experience.

And if that is not enough, look inside yourself. Write what you feel, what you see by the eyes of your mind, what moves your heart and soul.

No matter how you do it or where it comes from, believe me when I say there is inspiration everywhere. It's up to you to realize it and start writing.
